We have hundreds and hundred of rhodos - many varieties in large sizes. Most are listed below to entice people who are able to visit our Nursery.  For customers on  Lower Vancouver Island, we can usually deliver by truck right to your door.

CHETCO  NEW 

(Kh)  Huge, deep sunny yellow flowers with an apricot flare on upper lobes. Upright growing. Excellent foliage. Yellow; M. 1.8 m (6').   Zone:5 

DAVIESII   NEW 

(Gh) One of the most fragrant. Creamy white blossoms with soft yellow flare. Bushy growth habit.  White; ML. 1.2 m (4').   Zone:5 

FIREBALL   NEW 

(Kn)  Bright flame-red with orange flare. Bronze new foliage. Good fall colour.  Mildew resistant.  Orange red; M. 1.5 m (5')  Zone:5   

GIBRALTAR    NEW 

(Ex)  Crimson-orange buds open to a brilliant orange. Frilly petals and distinctive yellow flare. Mildew resistant with good red fall colour. Orange; M. 1.5 m (5')  Zone:5 

HOMEBUSH     NEW 

(Kh)  Semi-double, deep rosy pink, ball-shaped trusses. Upright growing. Pink; M. 1.8 m (6')  Zone:5   

KLONDYKE      NEW 

(Ex)  Incandescent, fragrant golden blooms are visible from great distances. Contrasting bronze new growth. Great fall foliage. Mildew-resistant. Golden Tangerine; M. 1.5 m (5')  Zone:5   

MOUNT SAINT HELENS  

(Girard Ex) Fragrant rose-pink flowers open from deep rose buds. Upper petals have large yellow-orange flare which turns bright red-orange as it ages giving a tri-colour appearance.  Pink/Orange; M. 1.2 m (4').  Zone:5 

ROSE RUFFLES  

Late blooming, fragrant, rully ruffled, deep rose flowers with orange yellow eye. Mildew resistant. Red-purple fall colour. Rose Pink; ML. 1.5 m (5').  Zone:5 

WALLOWA RED     NEW 

Deep velvety-red flowers. Open round growing habit with arching branches.  Dark Red; M. 1.5 m (5')  Zone:5 

YELLOW CLOUD     NEW 

(Kh)  Sweetly scented, large, thick-bodied, yellow trusses. Floriferous. Yellow; ML. 1.5 m (5')  Zone:5   

 

 

RHODODENDRONS

The flowering season of Rhododendrons extends from February to June on the West Coast and late March to July in the East. We have indicated the sequence of flowering with the following codes:  VE=Very Early, E=Early, EM=Early Medium, M=Medium, ML=Medium Late, L=Late, VL=Very Late.

ALENA    

Glossy, dark green leaves with a mounding habit. Fragrant, ball-shaped white blooms with yellow spotting in the throat. White; EM. 1.5 m (5'). Hardy to -24 C  

augustinii Hobbie form

Ethereal blue flowers on somewhat sparse-foliage plant. Buds can suffer in late spring frosts. Sun tolerant.  Blue; EM. 1.8 m (6'). Hardy to -20 C

BADEN BADEN     

Shiny, forest green foliage on a dense, well-branched, low growing plant. Clear red bell flowers with darker centres. Red; M. 60 cm (2'). Hardy to -24 C  

BLUE BOY      NEW 

Vibrant violet blue flowers with wavy edges and almost black blotch. Floriferous. Well-shaped, upright, open growth habit. Long, narrow dark green leaves. Violet Blue; ML. 1.5 m (5'). Hardy to -24 C

BLUESHINE GIRL    NEW  

Blue foliage with red-purple silky stems near the tips. Large trusses of creamy white flowers with red blotching. White; EM-M. 1.5 m (5'). Hardy to -18 C

BOB'S BLUE  

Electric blue flowers. Small deep green leaves turn maroon in winter. Upright, compact habit. Blue; M. 1 m (3'). Hardy to -17 C 

camplyogynum      

Spicy-scented, small, smooth, dark green foliage. Compact, upright growth. Small, wide, bell-shaped flowers. Flower colour can vary from white to red. Ours so far are a salmon pink.  Varies: EM. 30 cm (12"). Hardy to -24 C

CANADIAN SUNSET   

Deep pink flowers fading the pale yellowish-pink in the centre. Compact rounded bush. We know this differs from Greer's description, but this is what ours look like! See American Rhododendron Society website for a great photo of this plant for further confirmation. Pink; M. 1 m (3'). Hardy to -21 C

CARMEN 

Wonderful dwarf with round, emerald green leaves. Dark red flowers. Looks great even when not in bloom. Dark Red: EM.  30 cm (12"'). Hardy to -18 C  

CHEER 

Glossy, green leaves form a dense, rounded shrub. Vigorous grower. Pink; EM. 1.5 m (5'). Hardy to -24 C

CLEMENTINE LAMAIRE 

Bright pink flowers with a yellow flare. Nice tight truss. Pink; ML. 1.5  m (5'). Hardy to -27 C

COLONEL COEN   

Deep purple with distinctive black blotch. Upright plant with glossy foliage.  Deep Purple; ML. 1.5 m (5'). Hardy to -24 C

CONROY   

Bushy, large-growing cinnabarinum hybrid. Glaucous rounded foliage. Light orange flushed apricot-red  tubular flowers with a wavy texture are held in loose trusses. Light Orange; M-ML. 1.2  m (4'). Hardy to -10 C  

DORA AMATEIS 

Bushy, dense, deep green foliage highlighted with bronze tones. Covered with pure white blooms. Grows best in full sun. White; EM. 1 m (3'). Hardy to -20 C

ELIZABETH OSTBO RED     

Bright red new growth which remains red throughout the summer and then becomes a bit bronzed through it's first winter. Sun tolerant.   Soft Red; EM. 1 m (3'). Hardy to -18 C

ETTA BURROWS 

Bright blood red flowers with rugged, fir green, indumented foliage.  Red; E. 1.5 m (5'). Hardy to -15 C

EVENING GLOW    

Compact growth habit with bright shamrock green leaves. Later blooming deep yellow flowers on a soft truss. Yellow; ML. 1.5 m (5'). Hardy to -21 C

FESTIVO    NEW 

Soft yellow flowers with red markings. Polished forest green leaves. Growing slowly this shrub will be two times wider than it is tall.  Yellow; ML. 60 cm  (2'). Hardy to -21 C 

FRED G. PESTE 

Cardinal red flowers with darker red freckling in throat hold their colour well.  Slightly re-curved glossy, dark olive green foliage with tawny indumentum.  Red; ML. 1 m (3'). Hardy to -18 C

GARTENDIREKTOR GLOCKER  

Sun-tolerant, low growing, dense, glossy, heart-shaped foliage. Large, bell-shaped flowers with deeper pink edges. Rose Pink; M. 1 m (3'). Hardy to -21 C 

GOLDEN GATE     

(formerly dichroanthum scyphocalyxWonderful, sun loving, dense growing plant. Audacious flower colour so difficult to describe. Orange/Apricot/Rose; M. 1 m (3'). Hardy to -21 C 

GOLDSTRIKE   NEW 

Glossy, olive green, small foliage on pinky red stems. Tubular, fleshy flowers with sunny yellow outer colour and buttercup yellow interior. Yellow; M. 1.2 m (4'). Hardy to -18 C

GRANDMA'S HAT   

Upright, spreading growth habit with very stunning, unusual flowers. Large trusses with greenish-white centres rimmed in deep purple-red and a darker red blotch.  ML. 1.5 m (5'). Hardy to -18 C 

GRUMPY 

Dark green foliage with pink-tinged yellow flowers.  Dense growth habit. Yellow; M. 1 m (3'). Hardy to -24 C 

HARVEST MOON 

Interesting yellowish-green, heavily textured foliage. Upright growth habit. Creamy yellow flowers with a reddish flare.  Creamy Yellow; M. 1.2 m (4'). Hardy to -21 C  

HOLY MOSES    NEW 

Wonderful orange and yellow bicolour from gigantic buds.   Orange/Yellow; ML. 1.2 m (4'). Hardy to -21 C

HORIZON MONARCH 

Warm yellow flowers with small red flare open from red buds. Fantastic, upright, cone-shaped trusses are enormous. Leathery, deep green, large leaves.  Light Yellow; M. 1.8 m (6'). Hardy to -6 C

HOTEI   

Canary yellow, broadly-cupped flowers with a distinct calyx held in ball-shaped trusses. Compact growth habit. Needs a well-drained, cool site. Yellow; M. 1 m (3'). Hardy to -15 C

  

impeditum 

One of the best and most versatile dwarfs. Good for rockery, bonsai or massed. Compact, dense, silver-gray foliage. Great in sun. Blue Purple; EM. 30 cm (1'). Hardy to -25 C

KEN JANECK    

Superb yak hybrid considered a species by some. Dark-edged pink truss on a plant of perfect form. Heavily indumented.  Pink; M. 1 m (3'). Hardy to -30 C  

KOKARDIA    

Large trusses of strong mauve pink flowers flecked with ruby red and with a startling dark red-brown blotch. Mauve Pink; ML. 1.5  m (5'). Hardy to -24 C

LORI EICHELSER    

One of the best semi-dwarfs. Large cherry-pink bells smother the slightly rounded, deep jade green leaves. Tight and dense growth habit. Cherry Pink; EM. 60 cm (2'). Hardy to -21 C

MILTON    

Large grower with dense, matte foliage. Fluorescent rosy orange flowers similar to Golden Gate. Strong grower. Rosy Orange; M. 1.5 m (5'). Hardy to -21 C  

NANCY EVANS    

A great rhodo in form and colour. Compact growing with textured, matte green leaves. Bronze new foliage and orange red buds. Amber yellow flowers change to a rich yellow with amber on the edges. A large calyx adds to it's excellence. Golden yellow; M. 1 m (3'). Hardy to -15 C

PERCY WISEMAN      

Yak cross. Vigorous, dense, well branched plant. Peach edged blossoms with a yellow throat fade to soft cream. Sun tolerant. Peach Yellow; M. 1 m (3'). Hardy to -24 C  

ponticum Variegatum  

Beautiful green leaves with white variegations on the margins. Relatively rare. Pinky Purple; L. 1.2 m (4'). Hardy to -25 C 

RUBY HART      

An excellent semi-dwarf. Compact, glossy, deep green leaves with velvet dark red flowers. Deep red; EM. 60 cm (2'). Hardy to -18 C

ROCKET   

Heavily veined, thick foliage gives this a full-bodied appearance. Frilled, vibrant pink flowers with scarlet freckles. Pink; M. 1.5 m (5'). Hardy to -27 C  

ROSE BLEWETT   

Slightly ruffled pale apricot flower with darker rosy edge and centre. Has a very feminine feel. Mid-green leaves. 1.2 m (4'). Hardy to at least -15 C 

ROYSTON RED   NEW 

Bright, blood red flowers. Round leaves on a compact, sturdy plant. Red: E. 1 m (3'). Hardy to  -18 C

SHAMROCK   

Extremely compact dwarf that grows wider than high. Great colour when paired with blue-purple dwarfs.  Needs sun to stay compact. Chartreuse; E. 30 cm (12"). Hardy to -20 C  

TAURUS 

Dark red buds open to glowing red flowers with black spotting on upper petals. Deep green pointed leaves. Vigorous and magnificent.  Red; EM. 1.8 m (6'). Hardy to -21 C  

TORTOISE SHELL   NEW 

Large clear orange trusses. Dense, multi-branching stems clothed in smooth-textured, narrow forest green leaves. Orange; ML. 1.2 m (4'). Hardy to -21 C 

VIRGINIA RICHARDS   

Pink flowers turn yellow with a crimson blotch. Attractive dark glossy green foliage. Compact form. Pink/Yellow; M. 1.2 m (4'). Hardy to -18 C 

WESTON'S PINK DIAMOND   

Double fuchsia purple flowers on an upright growing, well-branched plant that is taller than wider. Glossy, yellow-green leaves contrast well with the bright pink buds. Fuchsia Purple; E. 1.5 m (5'). Hardy to -27 C  

WINSOME      

Densely, compact, healthy looking, pointed foliage. Reddish flower buds open to rosy cerise flowers. Heavy bloomer. Cerise; EM. 1 m (3'). Hardy to -18 C
